La Rosa sul Mare residence overlooks the most beautiful side of "Plemmirio di Siracusa" natural park of protected marine area. An exclusive structure, surrounded by an oasis of the smells and colours of the typical Mediterranean vegetation, with rooms, suites and apartments. Thanks to its elegant and tasteful atmosphere, is the ideal place for VIP and other famous people who look for privacy and peace. The complex is characterized by an amazing white cliff that can be easily reached from the bedrooms through some comfortable steps. Only in summer a solarium with deckchairs and beach umbrellas is organized on the beach. The sea of the protected marine area is the main attraction for scuba divers. Upon request it is possible to enjoy the Diving Center arranged as a PADI and SSI school. From the panoramic and gorgeous swimming pool it is possible to see the expanse of sea reaching the far south of Europe: Capo Passero.

Location

The resort is 50km from the airport of Catania, 7Km from the archaelogical park of Siracusa and the historic centre of Ortigia island. Bus service and, in summer, boat service from and to the old centre of Siracusa. The famous beaches of Fontane Bianche and Arenella can be easily reached in 5/10 minutes by car.

Apartments

La Rosa sul Mare Resort was designed to satisfy only a limited number of guests. In fact, it has only few rooms-suites and apartments, all overlooking the sea, tastefully and functionally furnished with Sicilian furniture from the 19th century. All apartments have balcony and/or terrace with a fantastic sea view. kitchen or kitchenette, SKY TV, telephone, safe box, hair dryer, air conditioning. These are the available typologies:

One-roomed apartment 2/3 sleeps

They have a large double bedroom, fully equipped kitchenette (with electrical appliances, steel saucepans, cutlery, crystal ware, porcelain etc.), a Sicilian cupboard from the 19th century, refrigerator with freezer. The large bathroom with shower has hair dryer and a courtesy set. Balcony and/or terrace with sea view.

Two-roomed apartment A 2/3 sleeps and two room apartment B 2/4 sleeps:

They are lovely furnished with Sicilian furniture from the 19th century and other contemporary styles. They have a double bedroom (with a wrought iron headboard, a flat and rigid bed base and orthopaedical mattresses), large living room furnished with a Sicilian cupboard from the 19th century, fully equipped kitchenette (with electrical appliances, steel saucepans, cutlery, crystal ware, porcelain etc.), refrigerator with freezer. There are also a double sofa bed with comfortable mattresses, paintings and prints. A large bathroom with shower, hair dryer and courtesy set. Balcony and/or terrace with sea view.

Three-roomed apartment A 2/5 sleeps:

They have two large bedrooms (double bed or twin beds), comfortably furnished in the present-day style and with Sicilian furniture from the 19th century, ensuite bathroom with shower, hair dryer and courtesy set. Living room with sofa bed, fully equipped kitchen (with electrical appliances, refrigerator with freezer, steel saucepans, cutlery, crystal ware, porcelain etc.). Balcony and/or terrace with sea view.

Three room apartment B 2/6 sleeps:

A wide and elegant apartment overlooking the sea and a beautiful garden, with an amazing panorama. It has two large bedrooms, two bathrooms with shower, and possibility of a third bed for two people in a comfortable sofa bed. Furniture inspired to the figurative arts from the Sicilian 19th century mix with a modern design. Living room with an equipped kitchen. Upon request, a qualified chef. The apartment's furniture is completed by paintings of great value, carpets, hangings and ceramics produced by Sicilian artists. Terrace with sea view equipped with table, chairs and deckchairs.

The resort has a wide external car park and an attended inner park, library with books in different languages, panoramic swimming pool, a solarium on the cliff (in summer only) equipped with beach umbrellas and deckchairs, a garden with tropical and Mediterranean plants, smoke detector, babysitting, laundry service, car, scooter, rubber dinghy, sailing and motor boats rental, bus service from and to the historic centre, boat service to Ortigia island (in summer only).

Eating&Cooking

La Rosa sul Mare Resort does not have its own restaurant but can provide the large rooms and suites with the typical Sicilian and Italian dishes or supply with professional chefs and waiters that cook and serve delicious dishes in the large terraces.
