Baglio Santa Croce

Baglio Santacroce lies among Valderice countryside, on a height that allows to see directly the sea. The building is dated from 1637 and it was devised by barons at the centre of their manor because from the height position, status of undisputed dominion, the "curatolo" (absentee overseer and personnel manager) could control all holdings. The hotel has been completely restructured. The atmosphere is simple with the bedrooms decorated with ingot wooden furniture and beds in iron much of it recovered from the countryside. The floors have been redone with cooked rustic tiles worked with traditional techniques, today almost forgotten. Adjoining the ancient building a new “Baglio” has been built maintaining the style and the originality of the mother house and perfectly integrated overall.

Location

It is located in the West part of Sicily, at only 7 Km. from Trapani, in the territory of Valderice. The airport of Birgi Vincenzo Florio is at 26 Km, the airport of Palermo is at 70 Km.

The 60 rooms, from which 2 junior suite and 2 double for handicapped people, have private bathroom, telephone, tv, safe and heating. At the new “Baglio” they also have air conditioning and minibar.
