Hotel Ossidiana

Stromboli is a wide town, it has two main roads, a lower one that goes along the coast and an inner road in the higher part of the town. It is also divided into different areas joined among them by the characteristic small country roads between white small houses with typical Aeolian style. Stomboli is the only island from the Aeolian archipelago with volcanic activity. The island is rich with magnificent, long and untouched beaches of black sand, small bays surrounded by rocks of lava stones modelled by the sea, a famous sea with a dark but clean blue. South facing by the suggestive beach of Stromboli, among the magic colours of nature and the scent of junipes, the Hotel Ossidiana is located in the fishermen's neighbourhood (Scari), only 200 meters from the small harbour of Stromboli and within walking distance to the volcanological museum, restaurants, bars and starting points for boat rides or excursions to the crater. Built in the Mediterranean style, the hotel has been totally renovated and offers a marvellous view to the beach and the sea. Behind the hotel rises the lofty volcano of Stromboli, known for its eruptive activity called "Strombolian". The Ossidiana hotel offers its guests the opportunity to stay in a really unique place, where it is still possible to experience crystal-clear water and the island's peace in a restful atmosphere.

Location

The structure is located at Stromboli, town of easy access from the port of Milazzo or Messina with a high frequency during the summer period. It is possible to arrive from Naples and Reggio Calabria in hidrofoil.
