Villa dei Papiri farm house is part of Ciane & Saline Natural Reserve and is located in a 13-hectare lovely citrus orchard, surrounded by papyrus from Egypt (unique in Europe), palm and olive trees, cypresses and other wonderful Mediterranean plants.This area, extolled by Ovid in its "Metamorphoses", collects the entire mythology of the rich and beautiful city of Siracusa. Villa dei Papiri is a completely renovated old Sicilian farmhouse built in the 19th century; the villa is immersed in greenery and equipped with all the comforts. It offers its guests the possibility to relax and quietly enjoy the beauties of the place, the sea, and some recreational activities such as horse riding, mountain biking, excursions and much more.

Location

Villa dei Papiri farm house is in the Fiume Ciane Natural Reserve , 5km from Siracusa, close to the most famous beaches in the area.

Rooms

Villa dei Papiri is a completely renovated old Sicilian farmhouse first built in the 19th century. It has 8 independent suites, that can be 45 sqm wide (2 beds) to 65 sqm wide (up to 5 beds) located in the central building of the facility, and 16 double rooms.

The Suites are studio apartments with a loft for sleeping (double wrought iron canopy bed and single beds with couch use), equipped kitchen and bathroom with shower on the ground floor. Each suite is separate, decorated and furnished with high quality local crafts and equipped with all the comforts: air conditioning/heating, hair-dryer and liquid soap, TV, and minibar. All the suites have separate entrance overlooking a shared garden where every room has a reserved table and sunshade parasol for pleasant outdoor breaks.

The Double rooms are 100 m from the main building, within three pretty dependances. These rooms vary according to size (standard 18 sqm, superior 22 sqm, exclusive 26 sqm) and equipment: double bed is always available with canopy possibility. Exclusive rooms have minibar. All the rooms have air conditioning/heating, lcd tv and shower bathroom, hair dryer and liquid soap. Two bedrooms are also suitable for disabled guests. These rooms too have a reserved table and sunshade parasol overlooking a relaxing garden. Daily cleaning with bedlinen and towels change (supplied) for all room typologies every three nights.

Restaurant

The rich buffet breakfast is served in a 500 sqm room. Breakfast includes cappuccino, tea, coffee, yoghurt and fresh fruit, pastry and bakery products as well as local salami and cheeses. Half board basis available at the Villa Cristina farmhouse, close to the facility, where you can taste the meat or fish traditional sicilian dishes.
