Casalicchio Farmhouse

The name of this farm house comes from that of the feud belonging to the family of the present owners since 1816. This facility has been recently renovated (2001) by respecting its original architecture. It enjoys a panoramic position on the valley of Platani river and consists of two buildings and a few other support buildings, where some apartments have been constructed. These apartments have private entrance, bathroom, TV, heating, minibar and an outdoor area in their front.

Location

This farm is in the heart of Sicily, 47km from the temples and the Hellenistic quarter of Agrigento, 50km from the beach of San Leone, 87km from Palermo and about 45km from Caltanissetta.

Rooms

They are part of some apartments:
Fresia:: 3 double bedrooms, 45m2 wide living room with two double sofa beds, a kitchen with dishwasher and large oven, 2 bathrooms (the one with Jacuzzi bathtub and the other with shower), terrace with gazebo and table.
Ciclamino:a double bedroom with an extra single bed, a small entrance hall with single sofa bed, a large bathroom, no kitchenette.
Gardenia: (equipped for disabled people) a double bedroom with an extra single bed, a large bathroom for disable people.
Camelia:a double bedroom with an extra single bed, a bathroom.
Orchidea:a double bedroom, a living room/kitchen with 2 single beds, a bathroom.
Ginestra:2 double bedrooms, a living room with double sofa bed, 2 bathrooms.

Restaurant

This Farm House works according to the methods of organic agriculture and borders on some dairies, olive oil mills and wineries with high quality production. The cuisine is typical, local, tasty and healthy (vegetarian upon request).
