Baglio Fontana Farm House

Baglio Fontana farm house is set in a so-called “baglio”, the typical rural Sicilian building which is usually characterized by a quadrangular plan. It was originally made up of a few buildings, used for stocking and working the agricultural products (wine, oil, wheat), surrounding a wide open air area dominated by the manor house. The original building of the Baglio Fontana farm house dates back to the end of the 18th century and beginning of the 19th: nowadays the building is still the farm centre of an important agricultural activity oriented to the cultivation of quality vineyards, olive groves, orchards and cereals. Another interesting activity is the bee breading, thanks to which an excellent honey is produced. This facility offers its guests a tasting room of the farm house products (wine, oil and honey). A motor boat is also availablem to guests for day trips to the Zingaro Natural Reserve and Mount cofano with on board lunch and diving excursions.

Baglio Fontana farm house is located in the centre of Buseto Palizzolo, in a perfectly central position to the most important tourist sites in the province of Trapani. It is 10km from Scopello (Zingaro Reserve), 10Km from Erice, 5Km from Cornino (Mount Cofano), 3Km from Bosco Scuraci, 20Km from San Vito Lo Capo, 20Km from Segesta, 20Km from the Saline Reserve and 15Km from Trapani (embarkation to Egadi Islands).

Rooms

The Baglio Fontana farm house has 11 rooms of double, triple and quadruple typology (of which one is suitable for the disabled guests). All the rooms have private bathroom, heating, air conditioning, TV and hair-dryer. Weekly bed linen change. Daily bath linen change and room cleaning. Baby cots and small beds for childrenavailable upon request.

Restaurant

The restaurant offers the typical dishes of the sicilian tradition, rich in international influences. All the dishes are made using the local products. Special attention is also given to wines.
