Farm House Baglio Fontana

The Farm House “Baglio Fontana” takes place inside a typical “Baglio”, typical rural Sicilian construction in general with a square form. The construction is made up of a few buildings used for the recovering and transformation of agricultural products (wine, oil, wheat) that surround a wide open air area dominated by the manor house. The beginnings of “Baglio Fontana” goes back to the end of the 700 and beginning of the 800. It is still a farm with a conspicuous agricultural activity oriented to the cultivation of quality vineyards, olive trees, fruits and cereals. It is interesting to see the bee breading area that produces an excellent honey.

Location

The farm house “Baglio Fontana” is located in the centre of Buseto Palizzolo in a totally central position with reference to the most important tourist place of the province of Trapani; the structure is at 10 Km from Scopello (Riserva dello Zingaro), 10 Km from Erice, 5 Km from Cornino (Monte Cofano), 3 Km from Bosco Scuraci, 20 Km from San Vito Lo Capo, 20 Km from Segesta, 20 Km from the Riserva delle Saline and 15 Km from Trapani (embark to the Egadi Islands).

Bedrooms

The structure has 11 rooms divided into double, triple and quadruple, all of them with private bathroom, central and autonomous heating, air conditioning, TV and hairdryer. Weekly bed linen change. Daily bed linen change and cleaning of the room. It is possible to add a cot or a bed for children.

Amenities

Parking, baggage deposit, taxi transfer booking, excursions by foot and horse. Wide park (can be used also for weddings, banquets and events), swimming pool with whirlpool area, multi use field (football, basket, tennis), table tennis, one room used for farm’s products tasting (wine, oil, honey) and a small museum that has antique agro-industrial equipment. There is also a wellness centre with sauna and massage service performed by specialized personnel with the use of natural and farm products such as olive oil, almond oil, honey, sea salt, etc. There is also a tourist assistance service. Horse riding, car, bike and ATV rental. Sailing boat of 14 metres to do excursions to the Natural Reserve of Egadi, Natural Reserve of Zingaro and Mount Cofano with lunch on board and the possibility of practicing sub. Small pets are allowed. There is a quadruple room equipped for disabled people.
