The NECTON Marine Research Society will open the research fields about cetaceans in the Aeolian Islands waters, and offers the possibility to take part to the courses organized within the AEOLIAN CETACEAN RESEARCH 2011 edition research program.
The logistic base of the project is located on the Salina island, chosen because of its strategic position at the Archipelago's centre.
The project was born with the aim of studying and understanding the dynamics that binds the cetaceans and the marine turtles to the Aeolian marine environment. In the meanwhile, the course wants to allow the porpoises lovers to better know and observe them within their natural environment.
The NECTON Marine Research Society avails itself of the valued cooperation with the no profit association DELPHIS Aeolian Dolphin Center, specialized in the study of the Aeolian Islands marine ecosystem.
